Altered Images

Standards

  • Use enlargers to produce black and white prints
  • Demonstrate proficiency in photo terminology and equipment
  • Students will identify and analyze processes and problems encountered in photography
  • Students will show responsible care of equipment
  • Students will exhibit efficient time management skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of visual composition
  • Students will follow the safety guidelines

    Objectives

  • Learn different techniques for altering images in the darkroom
  • Learn how to correctly mount photographs
  • Learn how professional photographers have altered images

 

Assignments

All assignments and self-evaluation rubrics must be included in the comprehensive binder.

  • Create a pair of images, one altered and one "normal"
  • Complete a self-evaluation of the altered image pair
  • Complete a journal entry
