Marco Polo's Kanbalu

Task

Description

You will read a description of Marco Polo's experience in Kanbalu, Cathay.  After you have read your description, you will highlight as many descriptions of Kanbalu, Cathay as possible.  This could include the types of roads, trees, buildings, technology, etc.  Make sure that you have at least fifteen descriptions highlighted.  Once you have completed highlighting the descriptions, you must draw Kanbalu.  In your drawing, you must include at least ten details.

Expectations

You must include the following:

  • use no smaller than a 17" x 11" paper
  • use colored pencils
  • title your map
  • include at least ten details

Be prepared to share material with the class!
