Choral

I. Content Standards

A. Music Performance

1. Students will sing a varied repertoire of music in a choral setting
a. blend , balance, part accuracy, participation, attitude
2. Students will improve their vocal technique
a. tone quality, diction, posture, breathing, intonation
3. Students will sight-read rhythmic patterns and melodies
4. Students will demonstrate musical sensitivity

B. Music Theory

1. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the basic vocabulary of music
a. staff, clef, note recognition, accidentals, key/time signature, terms and signs
2. Students will visually and aurally identify the foundational elements of musical structure
a. chords, scales, intervals, and tonal memory using a keyboard

C. Music History

1. Students will demonstrate a knowledge of historical periods, composers, and styles of music
