Interview with the Jones Family (Student Handout)

Scenario: You have just completed the blueprints for Mr. Jones. With your ideas fresh in your mind, you decide that it would probably be a good idea to try to set up a meeting with Mr. Jones to discuss the floor plan. Being the experienced architect that you are, you know that the customer is never usually completely satisfied with the first design. With this in mind, you realize that this meeting will probably be a lot like your first meeting with the Jones family where you will need to take notes and be courteous. You also have found out that Mr. Jones was recently in an accident and is very on edge. You must be able to defend your designs in a courteous way. After the interview, your boss at the office calls Mr. Jones and asks him a few questions about the interview. The answers that your boss gets will determine your raise (your grade). The following is a basic outline of what your boss will be asking Mr. Jones.
